How do I copy or move a document to another location?
If you want a document to reside in a different location in the work tree, it can be copied or moved at any time. This article describes how to copy or move a document to another location.
1. Click Documents
2. Click See details
3. Click Copy/Move
- Click Copy/Move.
4. Click Ok
- Select an action from the Action drop-down box.
- Click the Location drop-down box and select a location in the work tree for your document to reside.
- Click OK.
Copy to: Choose this option to duplicate the latest version of a document in the new location. The source and copied documents are independent of each other and maintain their own version histories.
Move to: Choose this option to move a document to a different location and remove it from the work item where it originated. All versions of the document appear in the new location.
5. View Document
- View document details in the new location.
Note: You will automatically be directed to the document details in the new location that you chose.
