What is the Summary Page?
Every work object in PowerSteering has a Summary page that provides a top-level view of all important work information on a single screen. This article describes the purpose of the Summary page.
1. The Summary Page
The Summary page is where a user can go to view all important project details on a single page. Below is a description of each component of the Summary page.
Project Header: Project details, such as owner and status, are located at the top of the page.
Progress Bar (For Gated Projects Only): This is a horizontal display of all of the phases in a project and the status of each. Completed phases display as a link which, when clicked on, re-activates that phase and resets the status of all subsequent phases to "Not Started".
Active Phase Information (For Gated Projects Only): The name of the active phase and the count of completed required deliverables is displayed here.
- Click the conditions link to display the status of items that must be met before approval can be requested. Examples of a condition include the completion of a required deliverable, having to lock a metric or populating a field in the Edit Details section.
- Click Request approval to request gate approval. Once approval is requested, an “Approval status” link appears. Click the “Approval status” link to display approval request information and status.
- Click Advance to move onto the next phase of the project. This option is only available by permission.
Details: This section can be collapsed or expanded by clicking on the name and displays additional project details, such as tags, custom fields, and team members.
Descendants: This section can be collapsed or expanded by clicking on the name and displays all descendants of the work.
Note: The remainder of the Summary page is a compilation of collapsible sections that may or my not appear on the page based on your company's configuration and your user permissions.
