How do I create a proxy user?

A proxy user can act on your behalf within PowerSteering, but must first be delegated. When a proxy user has been added to a user's profile, the master user will no longer receive email alerts. Alerts will continue to be sent to the master user's PowerSteering Inbox; however, email alerts will be sent to the proxies on the master user's behalf. This article describes how to create a proxy user.

Note: Proxy User and Master User are both replaceable terms in PowerSteering. Your organization may use different labels to represent the proxy and master user relationship on your site.

1. Click Profile

Click Profile
  • Click your name or the triangle to display the Profile Menu, then click Profile.

2. Click Edit User

  • Click the Edit User tab.

3. Select Proxy Users

  1. Click the Proxy Users drop-down box.
  2. In the Choose Proxy Users dialog box, search for and select users to act as your proxy.
  3. Click Save.

4. Click Save

  • Click Save. These proxy users can now act on your behalf within PowerSteering.

Note: When a proxy user has been added to a user's profile, the master user will no longer receive email alerts. Alerts will continue to be sent to the master user's PowerSteering Inbox; however, email alerts will be sent to the proxies on the master user's behalf.

Note: When a user proxies over to act on a master user's behalf, the Last Login date for the master user will be updated to the current date.
