What are the PowerSteering System Requirements?

This article details the system requirements that will help PowerSteering operate at an optimal level.

Browser Support

PowerSteering supports the following internet browsers:

  • Internet Explorer: 11.0.
  • Firefox: Most recent version.
  • Chrome: Most recent version.
  • Safari: Most recent version

PowerSteering intends to follow Microsoft's plan for browser support and retirements of IE. Customers should review the plan and be prepared. The use of IE 8, 9, and 10 was retired by Microsoft in January 2016. Microsoft's browser support page is here: http://support2.microsoft.com/gp/microsoft-internet-explorer

Note: Chrome, Firefox and Safari apply updates automatically. PowerSteering makes every effort to support the most recent version however some issues have been identified when using IE8.  We recommend using a newer version of Internet Explorer. Browser add-ons may conflict with PowerSteering functionality.

Mobile Browsers

In most cases, other browsers provide a similar experience to the browsers mentioned above, however, they are not supported and used at the discretion of the customer.

Browser Caching

For optimum performance, caching must be enabled on your web browser. Caching is generally enabled by default, but if it has been turned off, you will see significant improvements in performance by enabling this option.
