How do I add a new tag group?

Tag groups can be used to manage tags that have a large set of tag values that are similar but do not necessarily go together logically. One created, tag groups can be selected during configuration of tag dependencies. This article describes how to add a new tag group.

1. Click Tags

  1. On the Icon Bar click the Admin button.
  2. Click Configuration to expand the menu, then click Tags.

3. Click All Groups

  • Click the All Groups tab.

4. Click Add New

  • Click Add New.

  1. Enter tag group details.
  2. Click Submit.

Name: A name for the tag group that will appear in Field Management.

Description: Text that describes the tag group's purpose (optional). If you enter text in this field, the tag will appear with a yellow underline and users can hover over the underlined tag group name to view the description text.

Tag: Specify which tag contains the values that you want to use for the tag group.

6. Edit Grouping

  1. Select tag values you want to include in the tag group from the Tag list and click the right arrow to move them to the Tag Group list.
  2. Use the up and down arrows to adjust the ordering of tag values if necessary.
  3. Click Save.

7. View Tag Group

  • View newly created tag group.
