New Features

Below is a summary of the features included in the PowerSteering v15.1 release.

Note: These new features affect only those customers that have Workflow Manager enabled.

1. Workflow Columns Added to Dashboard

Description: Workflow Status and Last Workflow Action have been added as Dashboard layout column options.

Benefit: Workflow information can be viewed in Dashboards.

Use Case: Jason is a project manager for multiple projects within the Sales business unit. He has created a portfolio of his projects and uses the Dashboard to view information for all of his projects simultaneously. By adding the Workflow Status and Last Workflow Action columns to the layout, he can view important workflow information for his all of his workflow projects.

2. History Event Added for Workflow Step Actions

Description: A history event has been added for Workflow step actions. This history event is tied to workflow action items and can be viewed when the "Display descendants history" check box is selected.

Benefit: The project history shows which workflow buttons were clicked for each action item and displays a timestamp for each action taken.

Use Case: Jon is the owner of a project that follows a workflow process. By viewing the History page for his project, he has the ability to easily audit the activity taken on each action item within the process.

Note: Action Item is a replaceable term in PowerSteering. Your organization may use a different label to represent action items on your site.

3. Comments Column Added to Workflow Action Items

Description: A Workflow Comments column has been added to the Action Item page.

Benefit: Users are able to easily see comments added by workflow users on the Action Items page. For long comments, the hover over will display the comment in its entirety.

Use Case: Annette is a Finance Manager and is responsible for reviewing and approving budget information for new projects. When she looks at the Action Items screen for a newly created project, she can see see comments entered by the project owner without having to navigate to the individual action item.
