Where did the version 10 menu links go in version 11?

1. The Home Menu

The Home Menu

The Home link has been replaced by a Home button represented by a house symbol on the Icon Bar. Click the Home button from anywhere in PowerSteering to return to the Home page.

2. The Inbox Menu

The Inbox Menu

The Inbox link has been replaced with an Inbox button represented by an arrow symbol on the Icon Bar. Click the Inbox button to access the Questions, Notifications, Alerts and Status Reports Due tabs.

3. The Browse Menu

The Browse Menu

The Browse menu has undergone a dramatic transformation in version 11. Several of the links were moved to appear with the Add, Review and Project buttons on the Icon Bar, others were moved to the Profile menu. These next few steps describe where the version 10 Browse menu links were moved to in version 11.

Work Menu Links

The Work menu links from the Browse menu were split into two different places. The Work Tree is now visible when you hover over the Project button, represented by a Gantt chart symbol, on the Icon Bar. The links for remaining Work menu items were moved to the Add button, represented by a Plus symbol, on the Icon Bar. The menu links appear on the associated Navigation Menu.  

Note: Users must have the appropriate permissions to see the Project, Work Request and Organization links on the Add Navigation Menu.

Note: Work Request is a replaceable term, your site may use a different terms such as Idea.

User Management Links

The User Management menu links from the Browse menu were split into two different places. The Invite / Create new user link was moved to the Add menu represented by a plus symbol. The links for remaining User Management menu items were moved to the Review menu represented by a folder symbol on the Icon Bar. The menu links appear on the associated Navigation Menu.  

Note: The term Users on the version 10 menu link was replaced with Find a Person on the version 11 menu link.

The Review Links

All of the menu links that used to appear on the Review group under the Browse link were moved to the Review menu represented by a folder symbol. You can click on the Review button to view the associated Navigation Menu.

The Reports Links

The Reports menu links from the Browse menu were split into two different places. The Report Wizard and Create Reports links were moved to the Add menu represented by a plus symbol. The links for remaining Reports menu items were moved to the Review menu represented by a folder symbol on the Icon Bar. The menu links appear on the associated Navigation Menu.  

The My Profile Links

All of the menu links that used to appear on the My profile group under the Browse link were moved to the Profile menu. You can access the Profile menu by clicking on the link for your user name.

Note: The Edit Preferences, Edit Permissions, Edit Alert Subscriptions and Edit Personal Rates are also located under the Profile menu and accessible through the user name link, same as they were in version 10.

The Import / Export Links

All of the menu links that used to appear on the Import / Export group under the Browse link were moved to the Review menu represented by a folder symbol. You can click on the Review button to view the associated Navigation Menu.

4. The Admin Menu

The Admin Menu

The Admin menu has moved in version 11 but it is not as different as the Browse menu. All of the links from the Admin menu were moved to the Admin button represented by a gear symbol on the Icon Bar. These next few steps describe where the version 10 Admin menu links were moved to in version 11.

The Permissions Links

All of the menu links from the Permissions group were moved to the Admin button represented by the gear symbol on the Icon Bar. The menu links are displayed on the Navigation Menu.

The Template Links

All of the menu links from the Templates group were moved to the Admin button represented by the gear symbol on the Icon Bar. The menu links are displayed on the Navigation Menu.

The Localization Links

All of the menu links from the Localization group were moved to the Admin button represented by the gear symbol on the Icon Bar. The menu links are displayed on the Navigation Menu.

The Configuration Links

All of the menu links from the Configuration group were moved to the Admin button represented by the gear symbol on the Icon Bar. The menu links are displayed on the Navigation Menu. Use the scroll bar to view all of the Configuration menu links.

The Layouts Link

All of the menu links from the Layouts group were moved to the Admin button represented by the gear symbol on the Icon Bar. The menu links are displayed on the Navigation Menu.

The Logs, Announcements and Related Items Links

The Logs, Announcements and Related Items links were moved to the Admin button represented by the gear symbol on the Icon Bar. The menu links are displayed on the Navigation Menu.

Important Links was moved to the Important Links button represented by the exclamation and link symbol on the Icon Bar. The menu links are displayed on the Navigation Menu.

Last Visited was replaced with the History button represented by the clock symbol on the Icon Bar. The menu links are displayed on the Navigation Menu. Click here to learn more about managing your history.

The Profile and Preference menu links have not been relocated in Version 11. You can click on your user name link to view the menu links.
