What is the Icon Bar?

The Icon Bar is at the far left side of the page and contains buttons to represent different functions within the product. The selection of a specific button will drive the Navigation Menu that appears. Most of the options in the Icon Bar used to be accessed from links at the top of the PowerSteering page. This article describes the Icon Bar.

The following are part of the Icon Bar:

Home: This button replaces the Home link that used to appear at the top of the PowerSteering page.

Inbox: This button replaces the Inbox link that used to appear at the top of the PowerSteering page.

Add: This button has an associated Navigation Menu that represents things you can add to PowerSteering like a new Project, Request, Report or User. This button replaces options that used to be under the Browse link and in the Quick Links area at the top of the PowerSteering page.

Review: This button has an associated Navigation Menu that represents things you can view in PowerSteering like Dashboards, Portfolios, Users and Reports. You can also access the Import and Export functions from the Review Navigation Menu. This button replaces options that used to be under the Browse link at the top of the PowerSteering page.

Admin: This button replaces the Admin link that used to appear at the top of the PowerSteering page.

Project: This button has an associated Navigation Menu that represents all of the button that used to appear on the Work Summary page like Project Central, Related Work, Measures and Collaboration items like Discussions and Action Items. You can also access the Work Tree, Project Summary and Edit Details options from the Project Navigation Menu.

Favorites: This button has an associated Navigation Menu that allows you to define and create shortcuts for your most frequently used pages.

History: This button replaces the Last Visited link that used to appear at the top of the PowerSteering page. The History feature has updated capabilities to search last visited locations by key words and a date range.

Important Links: This button replaces the Important Links link that used to appear at the top of the PowerSteering page.

Note: The buttons and menu selections available in your Icon Bar and Navigation Menu will depend on your PowerSteering permission settings.
