How do I use the bulk edit feature to change the calculated field?

The bulk edit feature of PowerSteering allows you to update multiple items at once in Project Central. Using the bulk edit feature, you can quickly change the calculated field for a group of projects or a set of project tasks. This article describes how to use the bulk edit feature in Project Central to update the calculated field.

1. Click Resource Planning

Click Resource Planning
  1. On the Icon Bar, click the Project button.
  2. Click Project Central to expand the menu, then click Resource planning.

Note: Clicking the Project button on the Icon Bar will take you directly to the Summary page of the last work you visited.

2. Select Items to Edit

  • Select the check box(es) associated with the project task you want to change the calculated field for. Select the check box at the top to select all check boxes with a single click.

3. Click Apply

  1. Click Actions, select Bulk Edit.
  2. Click Apply.

4. Click Update

Click Update
  1. From the Calculated field drop-down menu, select the desired calculated field.
  2. Click Update.

5. Click Save

  • Click Save.

Note: If you are using the automatic scheduler, the project's scheduled dates will be updated based on the new constraint types and dependencies in the project plan. Click here to read more about the scheduler.

6. View Updated Project Plan

  • View the updated project plan.
