How do I edit permissions for a group?

Group permissions define what other PowerSteering users are able do to your group. This article describes how to edit permissions for a group.

1. Click Groups

Click Groups
  1. Click the Review button on the Icon bar.
  2. Click User Management to expand the menu, then click Groups.

2. Select Group

  • Click the name of the group that you want to edit permissions for.

3. Click Edit Permissions

  • Click Edit Permissions.

4. Define Core Set Permissions

  1. From the Group Members drop-down box under Core Sets, select a primary permission level for all group users.
  2. From the Everybody drop-down box under Core Sets, select a primary permission level for all users that are not part of the group.
  3. Click Save Changes to return to the Group Profile page.

4.1. Define Custom Set Permissions (Optional)

  1. Click the Find field and enter one or more letters of the user or group name, then click Go.
  2. From the results list, drag and drop user(s) or group(s) onto Selected Custom Sets.
  3. Click the Properties button for each user or group and select a permission level from the context sensitive drop-down box.
  4. Click Save Changes to return to the Group Profile page.

Note: The user(s) or group(s) to which you assign a custom set will have permissions in your group equal to the Everybody level defined under Core Sets plus the Custom Set level.
