How do I enable/disable estimated labor costs?

Estimated labor costs can be calculated by PowerSteering based on existing rates (from rate tables, personal rates, and rate codes), activities, and project duration. This article describes the option that controls whether or not PowerSteering will automatically calculate estimated labor costs.

1. Click Resource Planning

  1. On the Icon Bar click the Admin button.
  2. Click Configuration to expand the menu, then click Resource Planning.

2. Estimated Labor Costs

Estimated labor costs: If selected, PowerSteering will calculate estimated labor costs. If cleared, no further estimated labor costs will be calculated by PowerSteering and all existing estimated labor costs will remain unless they are cleared.

Note: Once selected, it could take some time for PowerSteering to display the estimated costs if you have a large number of projects to calculate. This might be something you want to select and save during off-peak PowerSteering usage hours.
