How do I add a new resource calendar?
PowerSteering Resource Calendars are used for system-wide scheduling for users and project data. Multiple calendars can be created to accommodate multiple geographic regions or other special circumstances. Users can select from the available resource calendars when they modify their project availability in their user profile if they have the Edit Resource Information permission. Resource calendars define:
- Number of working hours per day
- First working day of the week
- Days off during the week
- Holidays and their dates
This article describes how to add a new resource calendar.
1. Click Resource Calendar
2. Click Add New
- Click Add New.
3. Enter Calendar Details
- Enter new calendar details.
- Click Save.
Name: The name of the resource calendar.
Description: A brief description of the resource calendar.
Week starts: Select the day that serves as a week’s beginning from the drop-down menu.
Default % availability: Enter the percentage of available time for users that select this calendar. Users with the will be able to modify this value on their own profile if they have the Edit Resource Information permission.
Work Week: Enter the number of work hours for each day of the week. Users will be able to modify these values on their own profile if they have the Edit Resource Information permission.
Holidays: Enter a name, select the date, and click the add button for any holidays. These days will be considered non-work days and will not be included in a project’s duration calculation.
4. View Calendar
- View newly created calendar in list of resource calendars.
